Original posts, how awesome is that? It was very exciting to see they were still there. If you look careful, you can see where the corner gingerbread was. I'm going to add it again...I have to find the right style :)
Much better than that boxed in look! The builder did his own thing with the railing. I would have tied in the rungs to the posts. Butted it up...to make it a more authentic look.
Remember how sad it was before?
Bonus, the rose in the cottage garden bloomed, it's yellow! It has a light citrus scent, it's truly magical.
Progress on Hollyhock Cottage is continuing! I'm super excited to show off the pictures of the undo of the porch remuddling. It was terrible closed in. It feels like the house can breathe now.
It was the right thing to do. It's just great! There's a bunch more to do, especially inside. The bathroom needs serious attention, as there's a hole in the floor. The house was made in 1902, that kind of thing is expected. It's fun showing off the work, I hope you're enjoying the evolution.
It feels really good to save a little house. I think the house is happier now :)
